Hydrosols
Organic Hydrosols from Quinessence are produced by water or steam distillation of the flower or herb, and not by the addition of essential oils or synthetics to water with alcohol. Also known as Hydrolats or Floral Waters, they contain the therapeutic properties of the plants from which they were made making them ideal for general skincare.
Chamomile German Hydrosol
Relaxing, reducing and soothing. In common with the essential oil from which it comes, German Chamomile Hydrosol is exceptionally soothing to irritated and problem skin.
You can also use it as a cleanser and toner on sensitive and irritated skin conditions. Its soothing and cleansing properties can also be used for nappy rash.

Chamomile Roman Hydrosol
Relaxing, reducing and soothing.
With a more pleasant odour than its German counterpart, Roman Chamomile also offers a soothing and comforting action on all types of problem skin.
It takes the sting out of insect bites and relives itching etc, and is excellent at reducing puffiness and dark circles around the eyes.
Just soak two cotton wool pads with the hydrosol and cover each eye for around 10 minutes for an immediate and dramatic reduction in puffiness. Regular use can help diminish those dreaded dark circles too. More Details»
Eucalyptus Hydrosol
Fresh, Energising and Refreshing
With its lovely cool and fresh aroma, Eucalyptus hydrosol exhibits antiseptic and anti-oxidant properties which are helpful for treating all sorts of insect bites, grazes and minor cuts. Mixed with Melissa hydrosol it makes a highly effective insect repellent that can be sprayed on whilst outdoors.
It makes a great refreshing and antiseptic mouthwash when mixed with Peppermint hydrosol, and this same combination can be used to refresh and deodorise tired, sweaty feet too.

Frankincense Hydrosol
Comforting, Uplifting and Soothing
An earthy, resinous fragrance slightly reminiscent of frankincense oil. This is a very useful hydrosol for all skin types since it has the ability to improve the texture and clarify skin.
